Sergey Shevyrtalov – Sendai 2015

Sergey Shevyrtalov has internship at Professor Miki Hiroyuki laboratory at Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan) from March 26th up to June 26th 2015.

The main aim of the visit was receiving experience in area of formation and investigation of the properties of Heusler alloys. During the Internship different variations of Ni-Mn-Ga Heusler alloys were made by Magnetron sputtering technique and their properties (structural and magnetic) were measured by several methods. All obtained results and future experiments were discussed in laboratory. A knowledge about the working principle and the ability to work on a new kind of equipment such as vacuum furnace, Scanning Electron microscope with EDS option and SQUID magnetometer were received.
