Ivan Kozenkov – Rome 2018

Istituto di Struttura della Materia, CNR, Italy, Rome

From September 16 to November 14, 2018 a PhD student at the Laboratory of New Magnetic Materials has a short-time working trip to ISM, CNR, Rome, Italy for synthesis of ferrite-NP on an employee development program as part of the Project 5-100 in IK BFU kantiana.ru/5-100

As a result of his work, we have 10 samples of magnetic NP and six from this pool – a fully novel magnetic compounds. As Ivan said, he has a great experience during the work in ISM. The most unusual  – it was the type of collaboration between lab’s at CNR where anybody can make his research at any type of equipment in facility. Of course, you need a supervisor or skilled operator for work at some type of scientific equipment in the case if you own have not enough skills for this.
Alex Omelyanchik, the jr. researcher at LNMM (IKBFU), was Ivan’s supervisor during the VSM measurement, sample preparing and synthesis. All of 6 novel magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized for the first time, as results of a collaboration between Russian LNMM and Italian ISM. Magnetic characterisation was performed for half of the samples at the facility of ISM and the other part will be characterized at LNMM facility.
